What software do you use to make the models?
I mainly use Visual Reality, but I also do some work with TrueSpace and AutoCAD.

Where can I get TrueSpace, Visual Reality, or AutoCAD?
You can purchase a copy of TrueSpace at Caligari.
Visual Reality went off the market in 1995 but you may be able to find a copy of it on eBay.
AutoCAD can be purchased from an authorized dealer, you can find dealers at Autodesk's website.

I downloaded one of your objects and when I render it, it's full of holes or parts are missing. What gives?
This is caused by the object polynormals not being aligned. To fix this turn on the option to render the backface of the object in your rendering software. Or if you have a lot of time and a good modeling program you can try to re-align the polynormals.

What are polynormals?
A polygon is a planer surface defined by a series of lines. The polygon faces only one direction. Unlike planes in the real world, which are two-sided, a polygon only has a front side and when viewed from behind the polygon is not visible. The "Normal" or "Polynormal" can be visualized as a line emanating on a perpendicular from the front face of the polygon: it is a line that indicates the direction in which the polygon is facing. Because polynormal directions are unimportant in modeling, most modeling applications devote little or no time explaining how the normal will be aligned.

I have Micrografx's Simply 3D but I want to render the meshes I make in a different program. How do I convert them?

If I upload a file can you see the contents of my hard drive?
No. Nothing from the upload process is logged and the script only uploads the file that you specify.

I uploaded a file but I changed my mind, how do I delete it?
You can't. The upload directory is kept secret to prevent people from using it for file swapping. Just contact us letting us know you want the file removed.
